Our take
The SISU Max is BJJMore's favourite mouthguard, and the reason is how little it gets in the way. At 2.4 mm it's much thinner than a classic boil-and-bite, so you can talk, drink and breathe normally, and it stays in without you holding it there with your tongue.
It's custom-moulded at home and can be remoulded up to 20 times, so a bad first fit isn't the end of it. SISU also makes a 1.6 mm Aero, but SISU itself pitches that one at team sports; for grappling, the 2.4 mm Max is the one reviewers recommend.
