Our take
If you want a traditional boil-and-bite mouthguard without paying for a brand name, the Venum Challenger is the one reviewers suggest. It has a rubber outer and gel inner frame, fits reasonably well once moulded, and BJJMore names it the next-best option after the SISU Max.
The downsides are the usual ones for a classic guard: it restricts breathing more than a thin guard, and it can fall out if you open your mouth wide.
