Our take
The Nova Absolute is a budget training option. Retailer listings describe a 350 GSM pearl-weave jacket, 10 oz pants and an included white belt. Check the size chart for its athletic cut.
Its light fabric is a competition limitation. For IBJJF juvenile, adult and master divisions, jackets must be 380–650 GSM. The gi must also meet the current colour, construction, label and fit requirements. The 350 GSM Nova does not meet that minimum. Choose a different gi for those events; other organisers set their own rules.
