Our take

If you compete in IBJJF no-gi, your rash guard has to be black, white or black-and-white with at least 10% of your belt colour, or entirely your belt colour. Tatami's ranked rash guard is built to that rule, which takes the guesswork out of a tournament kit check.

The fabric is 82% polyester and 18% spandex. Rash guard makers suggest something between roughly 80/20 and 88/12: more spandex stretches and compresses more, more polyester lasts longer, and this sits towards the stretchy end.

Questions

What are the IBJJF rules for no-gi rash guards?

The IBJJF requires an elastic, skin-tight top long enough to reach the waistband of your shorts. It must be black, white, or black and white with at least 10% of your belt colour, or 100% your belt colour.
