Our take
The Icon is built around one idea, toughness. Hayabusa uses an ultra high-strength polyester, and a hands-on review found there's no stretch in the main fabric at all, but also no way you'll tear it. Movement comes from inner-thigh stretch panels and long side slits instead.
The waist is a silicone-lined band with an internal drawstring and hook-and-loop closure, which keeps them in place. The standard cut sits just above the knee, and there's a shorter Mid-Thigh version. Because the slits run high, reviewers suggest wearing compression shorts or spats underneath.
